Hello everyone!
I know that probably a lot of you are not pregnant right now, but I bet you know someone who is!
Please consider sharing this with anyone who might benefit, I have shared some amazing products that literally changed my life.
I thought it would be fun to share with you guys a few of my favorite, top 9 first trimester must-havs. In case you are wondering, yes, I am pregnant.
After many many years of struggling with infertility we finally found a solution, IVF. We just got done doing another cycle, and it was a success, yay!
There is no particular order to these, just so you know.
1- Body butter. I was very lucky not to have any stretch marks with my first baby. But, that doesn’t mean that I won’t get them this time. I think moisturizing is great, even if you aren’t pregnant. I haven’t started to rub this on my belly yet, but it does wonders on the hands. Burt’s Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter, 6.5 Ounce
2- Omega 3 Supplement. When I was looking for a good prenatal, I search and search and did quite a bit of research. Through my looking I came across Garden of Life Oceans Mom Prenatal DHA. I am not a big fan of fish oils as a rule. I usually don’t take a fish oil supplement, except when I am pregnant. Because of this I was worried about getting an upset stomach or burping fish oil. I have found, with me anyway, that this fish oil is very gently on my tummy. I have been taking this for months and I think I have only burped a fishy taste once or twice. They are very easy to swallow and the pills themselves are quite small. Garden of Life Oceans 3 Oceans Mom, Prenatal DHA, 30 Soft Gels
3- Good Food Book. I was introduced to this book when I was pregnant the first time. I just have to say that I love love this book. I think that this book is good for everyone. Why only eat these good foods when you are pregnant. What I like about this book is that it is easy to flip thought and find a food. It gives you quick facts that give you an overview of why each food is good. Then, it also gives a little bit more detailed info if you are wanting to read more about. It is a very easy, light read. The 100 Healthiest Foods to Eat During Pregnancy
4- Apps. I am a huge apps lover. When we were picking out names with our first, I think I downloaded about 5-6 different baby naming apps. The My Pregnancy Today app is so great because it gives you a daily insight into your pregnancy and your baby. It tells you exactly how far along you are. I tend to forget…. It also has a ton of other info and discussion boards where you can connect with other pregnant women who are going through similar things as you. My Pregnancy Today by Baby Center. I also really like the What to Expect App
5- Sleep Book. I could probably write an entire post about this book and how it changed my life. NO JOKE. That will have to be for another day though. I got this book, as a gift. ( praise my sister-in-law for giving it to me) a few months before my first one was born. I would recommend getting it ahead of time too and reading it. The reason being, you want to be prepared when baby comes. You don’t want to be reading through these ideas and strategies during the crisis of teaching the new baby how to sleep. With that, I kept this book by my side and referenced it a ton, during the first few month of sleep training. Let me be clear, I did not let my daughter cry it out. I taught her how to self sooth and fall asleep on her own. It was amazing. This book was the best thing that happened to me. I highly recommend it! 6- Water Bottle. I would say that it is easy for me to drink a lot of water when it is convenient, haha. I have a hard time walking into the kitchen 4 times a day to pour me a tall glass of water so that I can get my 8 cups in a day. Now, that I am pregnant I need to be drinking at least that if not more. I have been using the camelback eddy for years. I can carry it with me everywhere I go. I don’t have to worry about the water spilling. I love this water bottle and now that they have a glass version I am even more ecstatic. As a side note, this water bottle is .7 liters or about 3 cups. If you fill this up 3 times a day then you will consume about 9 cups of water a day, thats great! 7- Fiber. I don’t know if I am the only pregnant woman out there that suffers from constipation or not….. but I just have to say that there is help! I have tried all sorts of different orange drinks and supplements to figure out a way to get more fiber. When I am not pregnant having enough fiber is not an issue. For some reason, when I am pregnant, my body just SLOWS, way down and I need some extra to get things going…..TMI? For me, the best thing that works is a small bowl of Fiber One every day. I have found that being consistent is key. The orange stuff, for me, doesn’t work at all. But, the fiber one is great.
8- Good drink. I am not one that particularly loves soda pop. I do drink it occasionally when I am no pregnant, and a little when I am. I think that all of us have something that we love but have to give up or cut out when we are pregnant. For me, it was helped to add Lemon Perrier. It has the fizzle of soda but no sugar or high fructose corn syrup. Maybe Perrier isn’t your thing, but with a little modification I am sure you will be able to curb your cravings and previous snack habits if you think outside the box.
9- Prenatal Supplement. After I came across the garden of life DHA fish oils pills, I found the garden of life RAW prenatal. I will be perfectly honest, these things taste like grass. You definitely want to take these with meals. With that, if you look at the nutrition facts and see what all goes into these little pills, its amazing. I love that they use raw, meaning not cooked, as well as a plethora of organic vegetables and sprouts. They even added some ginger to help with upset tummies. Even with the grass taste this prenatal is hands down my favorite. Garden of Life Vitamin Code Raw Prenatal Multivitamin, Value Pkg 360-Count

Navigating the first trimester can be challenging, but having the right essentials makes a difference. I found comfort in items like ginger tea for nausea, cozy clothes, and post acute care facility prenatal vitamins. Prioritizing self-care and embracing these must-haves helped me manage symptoms and stay more relaxed during those early months.
