I cannot believe that my baby is turning 1!! It has been amazing to watch her grow and change this past year. I didn’t really know for sure if we were going to have the big party with a smash cake and all the festivities, or if it was just going to be a simple celebration with just the 3 of us. But, some family members decided that they would be able to make a trip from out of town to come so I decided we better PART-AAA!!!
First things first, I need to get the invitations out. A couple years ago I got a Silhouette Cameo and I absolutely love it, I have used it waaaaayyy to many times to count and it really is a great product. I found this really cute invitation at this etsy shop, and used that as inspiration to create my own invits.

You can purchase your shapes one at a time through the online store, but they also offer a yearly subscription for as low as $10 a month I think. If you think you will be using a lot of shapes from the online Silhouette store I think it is a good value to get a subscription. Last year I got a subscription and bought a lot of shapes that I can use for multiple projects. This year I have not signed up for a subscription but I felt it was really helpful last year. One thing that I really like about the Silhouette Cameo is when you add a regular cut design to your project you can change the color of it which means they are completely customizable. This software takes a little bit of getting used to but once you play around with it it is fun to see what you can create.
If I am working on a project that needs to be printed, such as these invitation, I save the finished project as a PDF. To do that, hit the print button. Once the print box comes up look for a place that says print as PDF, this will allow you to save the image as a PDF. I always take projects that I need printed to a office printing store for printing, it turns out better than what my printer can do. After I save my project as a PDF I usually put it on my jump drive to take to the printing store.
This is a screen shot of what the invitations look like. I ended up doing 4 invitations per page, these fit nicely in an A5 envelope.
Here is the invitation all printed out. I did write a short note on the back saying we will be having a BBQ and Photo Booth, which I am super excited about!!!! More on that to come soon. I did blur out our address, I guess I don’t need the whole world knowing where my house is

Don’t expect your partner to be able to read your mind or “figure it out.” If you have a need or want to express something, you need to communicate it yourself.

It’s not fair to you or your partner when you don’t communicate your needs. Likewise, don’t hold in the things that bother you. If something is bothering you, say something to your partner
