I was sitting here the other day reflecting on my life and how it has evolved and changed. I wouldn’t say that my life is all that glamourous. It’s actually not.
That’s ok.
I love to get my hands dirty and I am not afraid of hard work. In all actuality, I feel the most successful when I am working hard. My neighbors always comment on how I am a “busy bee” working on our fixer upper home.
I am ok with that.
As I look back on my 30 years here, I marvel at how many thing have turned out great, how many things have turned out different, how many things have turned out oh so perfect, and how many things have turned out so unexpected.
After we moved away from southern California, driving a huge moving van in the middle of a horrible snow storm. Mr. Main and I looked at each other, knowing exactly what the other person was thinking. We did not want to move back to the cold snow where we had both grown up.
As fate would have it, he accepted the only open position, in the only part of the state that does not get snow.
It’s funny how life ends up how it is supposed to.
I saw a picture of a wreath when I was looking on Instagram the other day. It was from Deb over at Seeking Lavender Lane and her beautiful home tour. I saw this wreath in the background and I said to myself, “I want that wreath!”
Since I could not reach through the screen and take it, I did the next best thing, I DIY’ed it. Plus, that is usually more fun anyway. Right!
And, to my surprise the wreath turned out even better than I expected. The texture, the color, the size, its all exactly what I had envisioned.
So, maybe my life has not turned out exactly how I would have imagined or planned it would. I think that it is safe to say that it has turned out how it is supposed to.
I am ok with that.
If you are looking to make a cool new oversized wreath. Then you are in luck! I am sharing all the details on how to make this oversized wreath over at AKA Design!
